Unbelievable Bennies!
Last week, I noted that praise demands a sacrifice meaning
you give God your heartfelt self regardless of how you feel.
Hebrews 13:15-16
“Through Jesus, therefore,
let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise – the fruit of my lips that
openly profess his name. And do not forget to do good and to share with others,
for with such sacrifices God is pleased.”
Today the focus is on what happens to us when you
praise. I call this Heavenly Bennies (i.e., benefits).
Praises changes our personality. It changes our focus from a earthly
perspective to a Christ like one, otherwise known as Christian which means Christ-like. Praise puts us in a humble mode. Songs such as, “I Surrender All”, puts Christ
at the helm of our lives. We become more
pliable and receptive to His will. He fills in our gaps and enhances our
strengths.
Praise will give you a supernatural discernment. You will see life through His lens. Sometimes we are
blinded to what He is doing because we are engrossed in what is happening in
our lives. There is song “The Lord is
Blessing Me Right Now”. We need to be grateful
and recognize His work in our lives.
Deuteronomy 8:6-9
6 “So obey the commands of
the Lord your God by walking in his ways and fearing him. 7 For the Lord your
God is bringing you into a good land of flowing streams and pools of water,
with fountains and springs that gush out in the valleys and hills. 8 It is a
land of wheat and barley; of grapevines, fig trees, and pomegranates; of olive
oil and honey. 9 It is a land where food is plentiful and nothing is lacking.
It is a land where iron is as common as stone, and copper is abundant in the
hills.
Miracles, miracles, miracles are possible when you
praise. And who does not need a miracle. See the wonderment of the unbelievable through
praise.
Acts 16:25-26
About midnight Paul and
Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were
listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the
foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open,
and everyone’s chains came loose.
Praise
protects us. God will encompass with a
force field of protection.
2 Chronicles 20:22
“As they began to sing and
praise, the Lord set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir
who were invading Judah, and they were defeated”
This week’s song was an easy choice. It’s .

“When You Praise”, 2000, Fred Hammond & Radical for Christ,
slowly building worship song.
When You Praise Lyrics
When you
praise, when you praise,
There should be
a fire in your heart.
Hands up
raised, when you praise,
Consuming every
part because you know
The GOD we
serve will make
His presence
known, when you praise,
When you
praise.
(2x)
when we think
of how wonderful
And merciful
and kind
Our GOD has
been to us.
Then we know
every glory hallelujah
He deserves,
when we praise
(back to chorus
1)
praise will
bind, confuse
And break the
enemy.
And cause his
hands to be still.
So we raise our
hands in total victory
We know we
triumph in his will.
When we praise,
when we praise,
There should be
a fire in your heart.
Hands up raised
when you praise,
Consuming every
part because you know
(chorus)the GOD
we serve will make his presence known.
Oh, when we
praise, when we praise, when we praise.
Let us praise,
let us praise
With fire in
our heart
Hands up raised
let us praise
Consuming every
part because you know
The GOD we
serve will make his presence known.
When we praise,
when we praise, when we praise
When we praise,
when we praise
There is none
like you
When you
praise, when we praise, when we praise
When we praise,
when we praise
Our GOD is an
awesome GOD yeah
When we praise,
when we praise, when we praise
When we praise,
when we praise
Bless the lord
oh my soul(repeat X2)
you can put
your hands in here tonight if you want to
(continue to
"living word")
