Bashing the Blockades!

Good Son-Day!!!😃 The Goofy & Good Life in Minnesota Bashing the Blockades! It has been a while, but I used to do pilates at LifeTime fitness.  It was free for a while and now they charge for the sessions.  While stretching, the instructor often would mention unlocking your seven chakra points which they claim are the energy centers in your body. These energy centers each correspond to certain nerve bundles and major organs.  The instructor claims to function at your best, your chakras need to stay open, or balanced. If they get blocked, you may experience physical or emotional symptoms related to a particular chakra.  There is no scientific evidence supporting the existence of chakra, but it is mainstay instruction professed by yoga and pilate instructors.  Nonetheless, the pilates and yoga stretches are helpful.  Pro athletes are now discovering the benefits of the stretches and how it prevents injuries. In a spiritual sense there may be blockage that is preventing you from being

My Priscilla!

Good son-day!!! #43 Critter Cornucopia    My Priscilla! The title may imply that I have a side chick.  To be clear, that is the furthest thing from the truth.  Title is referencing a woman bearing that name in the New Testament.  She was married to a missionary named Aquila.  By trade they were tentmakers. The Apostle Paul was a tentmaker too. Together, they were one of the first missionaries to hit the field.    In Acts, Priscilla’s New Testament contributions are pretty lofty.  She is held equal standing with her husband in the accounts of their work in the book Acts; which is significant in a time of a male dominated society.  She mentored fledging saints like Apollos on the deeper truths of the Lord. Acts 18:24-26 "Meanwhile, a certain Jew named Apollos arrived in Ephesus. He was a native of Alexandria and was well-educated and effective in his use of the scriptures. He had been instructed in the way of the Lord and spoke as one stirred up by the Spirit. He taught accurately t

Simple Accountabilty

Good Son-Day!!! Saints With Saints Simple Accountability Both Saturday and Sunday, I was blessed to have breakfast with my family.  On Saturday that honor was with Jo, Molly, and Alex. Today, it was with Mom, Jo, Roma and David. Both days, the riches were fellowship. On Saturday, a part of our many conversations pivoted to personal accountability.  Molly and I have seen many tragic lives destroyed by choices, abuse, greed, evilness, incivility and more.  Some will say it’s society’s fault for faulty lives and others will say the individual made poor decisions in life that led to where they are now. The topic is quite debatable.  The Bible alludes to both.   The Apostle John speaks to the core problems of society . . . 15 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. 16 For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and

Ahhh, Lord Do I Really Need to Do This?

Good Son-Day!!! I Did It - A Day of Firsts Ahhh, Lord, Do I really Need to Do This? In my career path there were times when I took on assignments that were miserable in nature and others did not want to tackle.  It was my way of showing my employer, “bring it, I can handle anything and make it better”. My peers scoffed at this approach saying it will yield you nothing but heartaches and in the end no one remembers your efforts.  Thus, everything you think accomplished was done in vain.  I will admit to the heartache piece of their response. But, I also will say the experiences also shaped me. I learned some skill sets along the way that prepared me for where I am now.  I had opportunities to work cushier assignments that may on the surface look like I am building my portfolio.  Looking back, it just would have made my portfolio look nondescript.  During the interviews for different jobs, I was able to provide lived experiences about how I handled tough situations instead of contrived
