Freedom Focus, Liberty Lived!

  Good Son-Day!!! Sweet Land of Liberty Freedom Focus, Liberty Lived On June 17,Jo and I participated in a parade commemorating our new national holiday, Juneteenth, in Minneapolis.  We also attended the Brooklyn Park Juneteenth event for a few minutes. After all of the day’s festivities, I was exhausted upon arriving home. I flipped on the TV and caught a few minutes of “Prince of Egypt”.  The story of Moses leading enslaved people to freedom resonates with me.    Moses was a free man when he returned to Egypt. But in his eyes there was not true freedom until all of his people were free.  You know the rest of the wonderful and exciting story. Juneteenth is of course a celebration of freedom for all people.  With Independence day just around the corner you will see more emphasis on TV and print about our democracy and freedom.  We are very protective of our liberty privileges.  We will fight to get them and fight to keep them. Freedom is Not Free

  Happy Son-Day! 7 Fabulous "F's" Fourth, Family, Friends, Fun, , Food, Fireworks, & Fishing Happy Independence Day! While I was in DC a few weeks admiring the Korean War Memorial, I was struck by the engraving the side of one the memorial walls, that said, “Freedom is Free”.   You can see it in the video (video link - https://youtu.be/r1b-Gac6ROI ) at the 7:18 mark.   In this country, freedom is often thought of being able to do whatever I want.    We even have a movie franchise built on reckless freedom, the “Purge”.   The truth is every country, organization, company, business, group, and yes, family operate within the construct of some rules.
