When Hearing Voices Inside is Good For Your Well-being

Good Son-Day!! Happy 😊 Birthday 🎂 to Will Phillip  Benita Jo Mid-Atlantic Tri p: First Leg When Hearing Voices Inside is Good For Your Well-being Last weekend, we landed in Baltimore and then took a train to Washington D.C.. The nation’s capital is a great place to visit with its countless landmarks. We did not have much time to sightsee due to the weather, What we did see covered the spectrum from fascinating to painful. The fascinating was the Washington Monument, The Capitol, and The Supreme Court Building.  The “painful” was an endless number of homeless men within one block of the capitol.  Some incredible form of trauma brought these men to the present state they’re in.  So many lives in dire straits and my only available contribution to help these men was prayer.  What you could clearly see in both DC and Baltimore is the ever increasing disparities between the haves and the have nots.  All this in one of the richest countries in the world. In both cities 🏙️ it was not unus

Provoked to Invigoration: The Journey from an Insidious Rut

Good Son-Day!!! Iron Range Throwback August 2019 Provoked to Invigoration: The Journey from an Insidious Rut You know Jo and I like to venture somewhere every weekend.  We also have taken up walking two miles or more at least five times a week.  We typically saunter one mile to the Coon Rapids Dam.  The walk takes about 42 minutes. It is a beautiful walk because it is all residential and park land along the way.  After doing this route for a month, Jo looks at me and says, “We need more routes to keep the interest going and keep me inspired”.    She said it in the same tone when she told me, "Bobby, you need to update your wardrobe". It cut to the core. The walks have been wonderful for many health reasons, but we also have a captive audience, ourselves.  Lots of unplugged talking time.  Even after nearly 43 years of marital bliss, the current conversations are like ones we had when we were courting in college.  There is that old saying, “take the time to smell the roses”.

Transformational

Good Son-Day!!! Happy Mothers’ Day, Jo & all other mothers The Staring Contest Transformational! Picking up from last week’s topic on the soul of man; the transition of spiritual impact started with the God breathed into spirit into man to the soul of man.  I highlighted how the spirit is willing to comply with the commands of its creator and how it can influence the soul of man.  I gave two vivid examples of matriarches, Mother Helen Parker and Dr. Jill Jackson, who have yielded to the whisperings of their willing spirit. To further this point, I will recount William Jackson’s second favorite passage (if you know the first, holler back at me).  It is found in Romans 12:2.   You’ll find it below in two versions, King James and New Living Translation And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transf

Happy Son-Day!!!! Cresting What Happens When the Flesh is Willing? Last week, I referenced a passage that came from the time when Jesus went into the Garden of Gethsemane to pray before He was arrested.  Before He prayed, He asked Peter, James, and John to be close by and pray with Him. After praying for a while He returned to His disciples and found them sleeping. “Couldn’t you men keep watch with me for one hour?” He asked Peter.  “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. ”  He went away a second time and prayed, “My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done.” When He came back, He again found them sleeping, because their eyes were heavy.  So He left them and went away once more and prayed the third time, saying the same thing.  Matthew 26:40-44 What happens when the flesh is willing?  The flesh is controlled by the soul of man.   Okay, what is the soul of man?
