Today I was
going to send a message one of the attributes of God, but while sitting church
this morning listening to the sermon, Jo leans over to me and said to do a message on prayer,
which happened to be the topic of the sermon. I am heeding her recommendation.A word of encouragement on prayer is always
timely.
I will begin
by speaking the name of Jesus over my family. He brings power, love, life and
healing. I invoke His name again for deliverance from all strongholds and
calamities.I call on His Name again to
bring relief from all pain and sickness.Manifest yourself in that
breakthrough we need.I say the name of
Jesus to bring us guidance and favor in everything we do and encounter.
I ask the
Lord to soften our hearts to hear His voice as He speaks to us because He always hears and we need to reciprocate. As we listen renew our bodies, vigor, and outlook to serve in a manor
fitting of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.May our hearts cry out in some dedicated way.
Jesus we humble
ourselves before you putting all other things aside in this moment assigned to
you.Please accept our sacrifice of
honor and praise; so, that we may have the opportunity and privilege to repeat
this communion each and every day of our lives. Amen.

Good Son-Day!!! Love Family Nothing but Good News here! House Party at BJ's You Bring Out the Best in Me! Nothing but kudos to my family. With one day's notice, many of you stopped by BJ's place and expressed love with your presence. The young man was not looking for any housewarming gifts. He was overjoyed at hanging his family. His family is important to him, as they are to me and Josephine. And yesterday, I had quick and witty conversations with my sisters. It is that repartee that has been fun for a long time. They know how much I love and appreciate them. I am a better man because of them. My brothers are steady and always there when I need them. We are now the OGs and now taking our rightful places supervising the Millennials 1980-1995, Generation Z 1995-2009, and soon, Generation Alpha 2010-2024. We all care about our immediate, extended, present, future family, grandkids, and siblings. Passages on family lo...
Good Son-Day! State Fair Time! You will always find Good News here. 86'd in The Best Way Possible Link to Dr. Jill L. Jackson's Birthday Photos. Feel free to add to them. Remember Your Training Jo asked me to write this story. Earlier today, we decided to eat at the Blaine Perkins, which is near BJ's house. We typically will go to the Maple Grove or Brooklyn Park Perkins. We were thinking he may want to join us. While we were waiting to be seated, an elderly gentleman walked through the front door and waited along side of us. Within two minutes, of him standing next to us, he falls to the floor. He is still conscious, but he is dazed. He does not respond to our questions about his well-being. Me and two other gentlemen check to see if he had any visible injuries. After seeing that his limbs are intact, we help him to his feet to get him into the chair and out of the restaurant entry way. As we are doing this, I could s...
Good Son-day on a Monday Fall has officially started. Go out and see the colors You will always find Good News here! Cooking, Soke Style Raw Soliloquy! Soliloquy: A soliloquy is a literary or dramatic situation in which a person speaks their thoughts aloud, usually while alone on stage, revealing their inner feelings, thoughts, or motivations to the audience. In this case the audience is God. A number of tasks delayed my message this week, but I still wanted to take a moment to reflect. Lately, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by current events—whether local, national, or global. Stress, frustration, and even hopelessness can quietly creep in. But I want to gently remind us all: we don’t have to carry it all. The reality is, current events aren’t going away, but neither is our ability to respond with strength and grace. Let’s continue to focus on what we can control: our faith, our mindset, our actions, and how we support one another. Small moments of prayer, worship, pat...
