Everlasting Reality Check


Jo and I like, millions across the globe, went to see “Wakanda Forever” this weekend.   First, what a great sequel.  The homage paid to the late Chadwick Boseman was respectful and honorable without pulling down the film.


The movie carried forward the same message as its predecessor, hate never resolves anything.  Hate is the complete opposite of love.  Bible directly and clearly says Love is God, 1 John 4:7-8.  That said clearly hate is our enemy.  Hate is a pure destructive force. Per John 10:10, our enemy uses hate to kill, steal, and destroy. Hate in any form is a cancer that grows and gets deeply embedded into whomever will allow themselves to be enslaved by it. Hate is hard to shake once rooted in your psyche.


What I enjoyed most about both Black Panther movies there was more than sufficient reason for the country and hero to retaliate and there was power to do it; yet nobility triumphed over hate and revenge. Nobility provided a solution for all where hate could not.  


In final moments of the film, the heroine came to her senses when it seemed revenge hand gained control. She yielded to nobility(i.e., excellent mental and moral character) to vanquish her foe. The end result was “Wakanda Forever”.


While I certainly enjoyed the fantastical escapism of the film. The Truth is everything manufactured by mankind will pass away according to 1 John 2:17, And the world is passing away along with its desires.


Here are the real deal things that will last forever, and I state this with an urgent guarantee:


God’s Word - (1 Peter 1:25). Grass will grow and then it will wither; flowers will bloom and then they will die. But God's written message, the truth, will abide forever. All His promises will be fulfilled.


Faith, Hope, and Love - (1 Corinthians 13:13) So these three things continue forever: faith, hope, and love. And the greatest of these is love.


Those compliant to God’s will, 1John 2:17, And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.


Submit to the attributes above and you will always be triumphant in this life and hereafter. Call on the divine attributes daily and live His bliss in an eternal way.

Hanging with My Axe'd Freely You Have Received, Freely Give Many economists are predicting a recession is in the making.  Quick lesson, a recession is defined as two straight quarters of negative value of goods and services produced in the USA (GDP, Gross Domestic Product). Other indicators like employment rates, business investment, and consumer spending also are considered.  A recession causes hardships for almost everyone, especially those whose income is below the Federal Poverty Level (for an individual, $967/month, and a couple, $1,450/month).  Good Son-Day - The Start of  Something New Ice Creameisters! Live Roses The day after Christmas, I got a call from a former co-worker I had connected with for about a year or so. I started the conversation by asking about her grandchild and two daughters. I proceeded to ask her how her husband was doing and got an unexpected quick but poignant answer: "Oh, he's doing fine; we're getting a divorce."  Wait, what!
