Good Son-Day, Indeed!!!

Christmas Time in the City

Epic

For the last, six days, most of the United States was gripped in an epic polar vortex.  Temperatures in Texas, Florida, Georgia, and Alabama plummeted to 10 degrees in some places.  Here in the Upper Midwest, we saw temps drop to -11, but the true antagonist in the weather story was the biting icy wind gusts up to 50 miles per hour.  The real feel on your skin temp was -30.  Oh, and we have a new weather term, ground blizzards ……….what?  Stop it already weather terrorists.

Employees where I work were looking for ways to stay home and get paid.   Ummmmm, no. For those of us who seen a multiple stretches of weeks on end of below zero weather, we say, suck it up, get to work and do your job.

Oddly, I have cleared my driveway more times this last week, than I did all last winter season.  As result, I have been burning  my “Brown Fat” (Google it) and building some resistance to the temps.  I am now looking forward to some balmy, shorts weather on Wednesday when the expected Twin Town temperature will be 35 degrees.

Sunday was Christmas, you know of course the Holy-Day is based an epic event that happened 2,000+ years ago when the immaculate birth of our Lord and Savior gripped us into a vortex of love.  Today, we celebrate the gifts He brought to us, love, peace, joy, hope, kindness, generosity, forgiveness, and grace.

Our life antagonist was thoroughly and utterly defeated.  Victory was promised to all who want it.  And Christ delivered by placing a Forever Stamp of rewards on Earth and in a seat at the table in Heaven for those who love Him.

Use your faith and receive His Christmas gift to you.

John 3:16, “The Message Version”

“This is how much GOD loved the world: He gave his Son, HIS one and only Son. And this is why . . .

So, that no one need be destroyed.

By believing in Him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life.

GOD didn’t go to all the trouble of sending His Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how”

From all over the world to everyone . . .

Song of the Week

“Mary Did You Know”, Michael English 1991.  Written by Mark Lowry 1984

Lyrics

Mary, did you know that your baby boy

Would one day walk on water?

Mary, did you know that your baby boy

Would save our sons and daughters?

Did you know that your baby boy

Has come to make you new?

This child that you delivered, will soon deliver you

Mary, did you know that your baby boy

Will give sight to a blind man?

Mary, did you know that your baby boy

Will calm the storm with his hand?

Did you know that your baby boy

Has walked where angels trod?

When you kiss your little baby

You kiss the face of God

Mary, did you know?

Mary, did you know?

Mary, did you know? Did you know?

Mary, did you know? Mary, did you know?

Mary, did you know? Mary, did you know?

Mary, did you know? Mary, did you know?

The blind will see, the deaf will hear

The dead will live again

The lame will leap, the dumb will speak

The praises of the Lamb

Mary, did you know that your baby boy

Is Lord of all creation?

Mary, did you know that your baby boy

Would one day rule the nations?

Did you know that your baby boy

Is heaven's perfect Lamb?

That sleeping child you're holding is the great, I Am

Mary, did you know? (Mary, did you know?)

Mary, did you know? (Mary, did you know?)

Mary, did you know? Oh
