Next up . . . The Adventure
that is 2023; All Aboard!
First, I want to say thanks to all of you for your B-Day greetings. One set of sisters called me on the phone and made me laugh for about 15 minutes. It was a very charming, giggly, and warm call. It was a nice gift. One that I am treasuring.
Birthdays have been celebrated for at least 4,000 plus
years, probably a lot longer. We know
the Pharaoh of Joseph’s time celebrated one.
In Genesis 40:20, Now it came to pass on the
third day, which was Pharaoh’s birthday, that he made a feast for all his
servants; and he lifted up the head of the chief butler and of the chief baker
among his servants. Life is meant to be celebrated.
With one more year in the books, I am grateful for family,
friends, and the Lord who makes life worth living. My response for blessing me is
to bless Him.
Psalm 91:16, With long life,
I will satisfy him (insert your name) and show him
(insert your name here) my saving power.
You inspire me to share gift of God’s priceless goodness and
I am hoping through faith the best for each of you. You all have birthdays coming up in
2023. I want us to support each other
through laughter, prayer, ribbing, teasing, motivating, blessing, and
inspiring. Think about the happiness of another family member and God will take
care of you. It's really about a celebration about us.
You may be saying this request is too mushy and where he is getting
this stuff. You also know the supportive
scriptures will confirm the action request and here you go . . .
Philippians 1:3-4, I thank
God every time I remember you. In all my
prayers for all of you I always pray
3 John 2, "Dear
friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with
you, even as your soul is getting along well."
Jeremiah 29:11 "For I
know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and
not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
In future writings I will continue to express the joys of
believing and the value of family. I
believe Heaven is happening now and the hereafter. Sometimes with the clutter that life brings
we need just a subtle prod reminding us that (and here goes another Mother Bobo
catch phrase, but true). . . “God is a right now God!” That’s short, powerful, and true.
Song of the Week (2023 Grammy Nominated – Best
Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song)
“Hymn of Heaven”, 2022, Phil Wickman. This is not your grandma’s hymn (Greek for a
song of praise), it is less metric in
rhythm. Nonetheless, it is a song with
a formal prayer embed in it; thus a hymn. The song serves as prayer of thanks
and commitment. And yes, hymns are in
the Bible. Mark 14:26, And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the
Mount of Olives. Lyrics
are in the video.
