The pictures above speak to the issues we are all seeing with grocery stores, big box stores, auto dealerships, property tax bills, childcare, and utility bills. Who would have thought egg prices would double ($6 for dozen eggs) in a mere two weeks due a bird flu. Even cat milk is negatively impacted. The cat milk prices you see above skyrocketed from $9.99 to $31.41 in a few hours.
Inflation (sustained price increase) is not a new economic phenomenon. It is something we have little control over and requires more research and discipline as you shop. Inflation occurred during biblical times. For example, when the Aramians laid siege to Samaria, the capital of the Northern Kingdom, the Israelites experienced extreme inflation. The siege led to a lack of goods and inflation.
Per 2 Kings 6:2, the siege lasted so long that a donkey’s head sold for eighty pieces of silver (today's money---$9,400), and a cup of dove’s dung sold for five pieces of silver ($585 in today's money.) Inflation was so bad that food and fuel were unaffordable—and people were eating donkey’s heads and burning dove’s droppings, if they could get them.
The richest of men in the world will allow people to go hungry, homeless and face hard times because they work on getting richer. Never mind they have more money than they, their children, and children's children will ever spend. I am sure you've heard 5% of the richest control 90% of the wealth and control our leaders. What I am saying the most rich people are selfish. The Bible speaks to this in Mark 10:17-30. It does not appear there is much hope for those whose social-economics are not a part of the 5% club.
However, for you the believer, your economy is supernatural and it exceeds the wealth of man.
Philippians 4:19 My God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Your God is most generous. Do not fret inflationary times. Hold true to your faith and the Word of God. He sees you and will meet your every need.
Somebody give Him some praise for what He did and is doing for you.
This morning during the song service we sang, "Gratitude". Here is a lyric excerpt from the song . . .
"Oh come on, my soul. Oh, don't get shy on me. Lift up your song, cause you've got a LION INSIDE THOSE LUNGS. Get up and praise the Lord!

Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh There's more to the story Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh
The biggest fear is that the resurrection was not complete The biggest lie is that this life is all that there is And so we live in a fear of not knowing that God's work is complete in us And the problem with not having confidence in the resurrection Is that we don't know in the end if we will live again But I want you to know that the pain you face is temporary The cancer you face is temporary The disease you face is just temporary Because every believer that's washed in the blood of the Lamb Will live to live again How many of you know that this is not the end for the child of God? This is only just the appetizer for the main meal For when we see Him, we shall be like Him When He cracks the sky, everything, every time, to see the Lamb of God And we will be just like Him Will somebody say Hallelujah?
Fear is not Fear is not my future You are (who is it?), You are Sickness is not my story You are, You are Heartbreak is not my home You are (You are), You are Death is not the end (Death is not the end) We will see Him, one day You are (You are), You are
Hey It's not the end This is not the end This is not the end
This is not the end This is not the end
This is not the end This is not the end
This is not the end This is not the end
This is not the end This is not the end This is not the end
We've only just began We've only just began
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh This is not the end This is not the end Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh
Goodbye, fear Goodbye, guilt Goodbye, shame Goodbye, pain Goodbye grave, it's a new horizon

Let the Light in Let the Light on in He's doing a new thing Let the Light in Let the Light on in Open up your eyes, He's doing a new thing Forgetting what's behind, He's doing a new thing Let the Light in Let the Light on in (He's doing a new thing) Let the Light in (and it's in me, and it's in me) Let the Light on in (He's doing a new thing) Let the Light in Let the Light on in, yeah Let the Light in Let the Light on in
It is a Good Son-Day Indeed Mother's Day Menagerie Here is Your Mother I am blessed in so many ways to be surrounded so many wonderful women who have brought into the world exceptional human beings. Thank God every day for the mothers who have impacted my life. I know when I need them they will be there for me and they know I will reciprocate. As I continue the epic saga of post-resurrection Christ I would be remissed if I did not include presence at the cross and the acession of Christ. Typical mother, always there for an extraordinary and exceptional anointed Savior she birth into this world. Take care of the women who are your biological, step, assumed, spiritual, in-law, in-lieu of physical mother. Christ, Mary his mother, Christ's disciple, and Christ's charge to His disciple. John 19:25-27 25 Standing near the cross were Jesus’ mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary (the wife of Clopas), and Mary Magdalene. 26 When Jesus saw His mother standing there beside the di...
Good Son-Day - The Start of Something New Ice Creameisters! Live Roses The day after Christmas, I got a call from a former co-worker I had connected with for about a year or so. I started the conversation by asking about her grandchild and two daughters. I proceeded to ask her how her husband was doing and got an unexpected quick but poignant answer: "Oh, he's doing fine; we're getting a divorce." Wait, what! This couple was married for 30-plus years. The husband is retired. Nice home in the burbs, Both children are college grads. Empty nesters. The American Dream. What happened? I did not pry. The only thing she offered was, "One day, I was sitting at the dining room table. He sat directly across from me. I looked at him. I said to myself I can't do this anymore. I knew then I needed to file for a divorce." The news sent me for a spin. At first, I thought he must have cheated, or he spent too much time at hi...
Take a Son-Day Drive on This Lovely Day Summer Vibes Laughter is Good for the Heart How Our Summer is Going Only The Powerful The entire world classifies people into hierarchies based job, residence, earnings, assets, weight, athleticism, height, and color to name an obvious few. If you do not have the right previous descriptors you can be deemed by society as less desirable, unworthy, or a write off. Recently, I sat in on a conversation with some employees outside one of our buildings. The conversation turned to a Minneapolis suburb called "Blaine". They talked about the vivid dichotomy between the impoverished trailer parks and the lavish homes in the new developments. I then cringed when I heard them refer to the people residing in the trailer homes as "White Trailer Trash" and this was uttered by a person of the same color. I spoke up and said I was uncomfortable with the conversation and that ended it. Our Lord did not create a physical being...
