The pictures above speak to the issues we are all seeing with grocery stores, big box stores, auto dealerships, property tax bills, childcare, and utility bills. Who would have thought egg prices would double ($6 for dozen eggs) in a mere two weeks due a bird flu. Even cat milk is negatively impacted. The cat milk prices you see above skyrocketed from $9.99 to $31.41 in a few hours.
Inflation (sustained price increase) is not a new economic phenomenon. It is something we have little control over and requires more research and discipline as you shop. Inflation occurred during biblical times. For example, when the Aramians laid siege to Samaria, the capital of the Northern Kingdom, the Israelites experienced extreme inflation. The siege led to a lack of goods and inflation.
Per 2 Kings 6:2, the siege lasted so long that a donkey’s head sold for eighty pieces of silver (today's money---$9,400), and a cup of dove’s dung sold for five pieces of silver ($585 in today's money.) Inflation was so bad that food and fuel were unaffordable—and people were eating donkey’s heads and burning dove’s droppings, if they could get them.
The richest of men in the world will allow people to go hungry, homeless and face hard times because they work on getting richer. Never mind they have more money than they, their children, and children's children will ever spend. I am sure you've heard 5% of the richest control 90% of the wealth and control our leaders. What I am saying the most rich people are selfish. The Bible speaks to this in Mark 10:17-30. It does not appear there is much hope for those whose social-economics are not a part of the 5% club.
However, for you the believer, your economy is supernatural and it exceeds the wealth of man.
Philippians 4:19 My God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Your God is most generous. Do not fret inflationary times. Hold true to your faith and the Word of God. He sees you and will meet your every need.
Somebody give Him some praise for what He did and is doing for you.
This morning during the song service we sang, "Gratitude". Here is a lyric excerpt from the song . . .
"Oh come on, my soul. Oh, don't get shy on me. Lift up your song, cause you've got a LION INSIDE THOSE LUNGS. Get up and praise the Lord!

Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh There's more to the story Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh
The biggest fear is that the resurrection was not complete The biggest lie is that this life is all that there is And so we live in a fear of not knowing that God's work is complete in us And the problem with not having confidence in the resurrection Is that we don't know in the end if we will live again But I want you to know that the pain you face is temporary The cancer you face is temporary The disease you face is just temporary Because every believer that's washed in the blood of the Lamb Will live to live again How many of you know that this is not the end for the child of God? This is only just the appetizer for the main meal For when we see Him, we shall be like Him When He cracks the sky, everything, every time, to see the Lamb of God And we will be just like Him Will somebody say Hallelujah?
Fear is not Fear is not my future You are (who is it?), You are Sickness is not my story You are, You are Heartbreak is not my home You are (You are), You are Death is not the end (Death is not the end) We will see Him, one day You are (You are), You are
Hey It's not the end This is not the end This is not the end
This is not the end This is not the end
This is not the end This is not the end
This is not the end This is not the end
This is not the end This is not the end This is not the end
We've only just began We've only just began
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh This is not the end This is not the end Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh

Good Son-Day!!! Love Family Nothing but Good News here! House Party at BJ's You Bring Out the Best in Me! Nothing but kudos to my family. With one day's notice, many of you stopped by BJ's place and expressed love with your presence. The young man was not looking for any housewarming gifts. He was overjoyed at hanging his family. His family is important to him, as they are to me and Josephine. And yesterday, I had quick and witty conversations with my sisters. It is that repartee that has been fun for a long time. They know how much I love and appreciate them. I am a better man because of them. My brothers are steady and always there when I need them. We are now the OGs and now taking our rightful places supervising the Millennials 1980-1995, Generation Z 1995-2009, and soon, Generation Alpha 2010-2024. We all care about our immediate, extended, present, future family, grandkids, and siblings. Passages on family lo...
Good Son-Day! State Fair Time! You will always find Good News here. 86'd in The Best Way Possible Link to Dr. Jill L. Jackson's Birthday Photos. Feel free to add to them. Remember Your Training Jo asked me to write this story. Earlier today, we decided to eat at the Blaine Perkins, which is near BJ's house. We typically will go to the Maple Grove or Brooklyn Park Perkins. We were thinking he may want to join us. While we were waiting to be seated, an elderly gentleman walked through the front door and waited along side of us. Within two minutes, of him standing next to us, he falls to the floor. He is still conscious, but he is dazed. He does not respond to our questions about his well-being. Me and two other gentlemen check to see if he had any visible injuries. After seeing that his limbs are intact, we help him to his feet to get him into the chair and out of the restaurant entry way. As we are doing this, I could s...
Good Son-day on a Monday Fall has officially started. Go out and see the colors You will always find Good News here! Cooking, Soke Style Raw Soliloquy! Soliloquy: A soliloquy is a literary or dramatic situation in which a person speaks their thoughts aloud, usually while alone on stage, revealing their inner feelings, thoughts, or motivations to the audience. In this case the audience is God. A number of tasks delayed my message this week, but I still wanted to take a moment to reflect. Lately, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by current events—whether local, national, or global. Stress, frustration, and even hopelessness can quietly creep in. But I want to gently remind us all: we don’t have to carry it all. The reality is, current events aren’t going away, but neither is our ability to respond with strength and grace. Let’s continue to focus on what we can control: our faith, our mindset, our actions, and how we support one another. Small moments of prayer, worship, pat...
