For the Love of God, People: Guidelines
Good Son-Day!!!!
New York Minute: The Triumphant Recovery
For the Love of God, People: Guidelines
I will keep this relatively short today, as I am recovery from a frisky cold and Jo recovering from COVID. She is doing better than me.
Loving God is as essential to our existence as the oxygen that feeds into system with every breath we take. When we do not love the way he directs us to things go sideways.
I would like use an old world term called commandments, but in this day and age, the word has a negative connotation very much ball and chain.
I will use a softer term, “guidelines”. Yes, this word does not chafe your free spirited side because it allows choice. God gives us choices. I will substitute word in place of commandments below.
So here are some guideline scriptures on how to love God.
1 John 5:1-5
5 If we believe Jesus is truly the chosen one, we are God's children. Everyone who loves the Father will also love his children. 2 If we love and obey God, we know we will love his children. 3 We show our love for God by obeying his guidelines, and they are not hard to follow.
John 21:17
17 Jesus asked a third time, “Simon son of John, do you love me?”
Peter was hurt because Jesus had asked him three times if he loved him. So he told Jesus, “Lord, you know everything. You know I love you.”
Jesus replied, “Feed my sheep.
John 14:15
15 Jesus said, if you love me, you will do as I guide you to do. 16 Then I will ask the Father to send you the Holy Spirit who will help you and always be with you. 17 The Spirit will show you what is true.
Ok, there is more I can add, but let’s just work on the three scriptures above. They are substantive in nature. First there is love one another; obey his guidelines; and feed His sheep. His three requests are reasonable in that everyone can do it with the help of the Holy Spirit and that is covered in the last scripture.
Hope you loving and celebrating the Lent season. Easter is only three weeks away!!!!

“Now Are We”, Perfected Praise Choir, Marvin Winans.
I grabbing one more from this album because of the exquisite percussions by Mario Winans. He carries the song with his sense of rhythm and double-bass drum. See if you can pick it up. I know my nephew CJ would.
Now Are We Lyrics
Oh what a privilege to be related and called a son
Of the Righteous one, the Holy One, the Father and the King
He's the Prince of Peace (Prince of Peace), ranks and royalty
Many treasures now belong to us we're the children of a King
You may not feel like it nor may not look like it
But I am, I am, right now, right now His son
So moving power and talk of victory
Our Father is the Lord of all and now are we His sons
What manner of love is this, that He would chose a wretch like me
He chose me to be to be His son
He picked me up and made me new
A vessel made for Him to use
He chose me, chose me to be His son
Oh
What manner of love is this?
What manner of love is this?
He chose me, chose me
He chose me, chose me
Now, right now, now
Now are we His sons
Now are we His sons, now are we
It does not yet appear what we're gonna be
But we know we're gonna be like Him
Now, right now, now
Now are we His sons
Now are we His sons, now are we
It does not yet appear what we're gonna be
But we know we're gonna be like Him
Now...
Right now
Oh, oh ooh
Oh, right now
Oh, oh ooh
Oh, right now
Now are we His sons
Now are we His sons
Now are we
It does not yet appear what we're gonna be
But we know we're gonna be like Him
