The Great Exhortation to Praise!!!


From the rising of the sun to its going down. The Lord’s name is to be praised. Psalm 113:3


But MY name is honored by people of other nations from morning till night. All around the world they offer sweet incense and pure offerings in honor of MY name. For MY name is great among the nations,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies. Malachi 11:1


Through Him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name. Hebrews 13:15


Does the LORD really want us to be praising every minute of the day?  No, but HE does want us to sustain a lifestyle of praise.  Note: the Lord’s name is to be greatly to be praised, for HIS glorious works of creation and divine providence.


What is the great call? What is He exhorting/urging us to do? From the passages above you can see the LORD is expecting us to be mindful that HE is always working on our behalf and some acknowledgement of such should come even when you think there is no need or all is quiet on the western front.  Many people praise Him infrequently or only at a restrictive and regulated appointed time. Typically relegated to Sunday mornings.


Again, based on the passages above, the LORD does not want HIS deserved parceled into hors d'oeuvres, which in French means outside of the primary work.  The LORD wants the main course.  The best, the fatted calf, the first fruit, the first love.


Praise can come in the form of reflections throughout the day. It is duck soup, i.e easily done or accomplished.  Tell the Lord, you want to have a mindset that sees His glory and acknowledges it. He will light you up in a good way.


2 Corinthians 3:18, And we all, who with unveiled faces reflect on the Lord’s glory, for we are being transformed into His image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.


Alert:This kind of interaction with the Lord is habit forming and addictive. You will be looking for ways to get the next spiritual high.

Hanging with My Axe'd Freely You Have Received, Freely Give Many economists are predicting a recession is in the making.  Quick lesson, a recession is defined as two straight quarters of negative value of goods and services produced in the USA (GDP, Gross Domestic Product). Other indicators like employment rates, business investment, and consumer spending also are considered.  A recession causes hardships for almost everyone, especially those whose income is below the Federal Poverty Level (for an individual, $967/month, and a couple, $1,450/month).  Good Son-Day - The Start of  Something New Ice Creameisters! Live Roses The day after Christmas, I got a call from a former co-worker I had connected with for about a year or so. I started the conversation by asking about her grandchild and two daughters. I proceeded to ask her how her husband was doing and got an unexpected quick but poignant answer: "Oh, he's doing fine; we're getting a divorce."  Wait, what!
