My Strength - Adoration

 (Every day is a . . . ) Good Son-Day!!!

My Strength - Adoration
Since Jo has retired, she has tendency to go to bed late ⏰.  Occasionally, in the wee hours of the morning, I will hear a muffled giggle or her singing while she wears her headphones.  And you know what that singing sounds like; dissonant tunes.  Sometimes, she doesn't know I am listeningđź‘‚.

I really don't mind because in the midst of her laughter and hymns there is joy.  Jo usually is listening to her favorite genre of music . . . Gospel, the backbone of R&B, Blues, and Rock.  Singing brings joy and joy brings strength.

"The joy of the Lord is My Strength" (Nehemiah 8:10).  I am married to a woman with Herculean strength.

Walk in faith with me for a second.  Christ was secure in His walk with the Father even when He knew His torture and death were imminent.  His literal trial and tribulation did not weaken His resolve.  The 39 whip lashes, crown of thorns, spear in the side, nails in the feet and hands, and to quench His thirst He was given vinegar instead of water, it did not change His course.  Never underestimate the very human side of Christ.  His human side felt every bit of the inhuman torture.

Christ took solace in knowing the endgame of His mistreatment and He rejoices.  Take note of His own words.
I tell you the truth, you will weep and mourn over what is going to happen to me, but the world will rejoice. You will grieve, but your grief will suddenly turn to wonderful joy (John 16:20).

Christ's joy and ours too, is choosing to respond to external circumstances with inner contentment and satisfaction, because we know that God will use these experiences to accomplish His work in and through our lives.

Here is the faith handle to help stand firm with our joy . . .

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them (Romans 8:28)

I love supernatural insurance, it beats the natural circumstances every time.  Your joy in Christ will make you a champion in life

I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:13)

Your outward adoration of Christ will fortify your joy and your inner strength.  You will need it.

Paul encourages us to band together in expressing our joy. It makes US strong.  This is one of the reasons why I share a new song each week.

We work with you for your joy, because it is by faith you stand firm (1 Cor 1:24)

Song of the Week  Hallelujah! Sing a New Song to GOD. Sing HIS praise in the assembly of godly people. Psalm 149:1.

"I Get Joy", 2024, Cory Henry.
A slight spin on a congregational song favorite.  Still old school with some fun.  Never undervalue the role of a congregational song.  Easy singing lasts for several days after Sunday morning service. True soul music. Don't ask me for the lyrics.  It will only take you a few minutes to pick up the song, which is the pleasure of a congregational song.
