THE UNSEEN
Please understand Missourians are not a bunch of Doubting Thomases. We know this familiar faith passage from Hebrews 11:1 and know when to operate in it.
Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things UNSEEN".
I want you to latch on to this scripture as we embrace the first day of the holiday season called, "Pentecost".
Here is another version of this scripture that highlights this week's message, which is about having certainty in the unseen.
Hebrews 11:1Faith means being sure of the things we hope for and knowing that something is real even if it is UNSEEN.
What is unseen is the Holy Spirit. I tread carefully here because the Holy Spirit is not an "it". Without going deeply into theology. When we speak of God we get into the three in one discussion otherwise known as the Godhead or Trinity, that is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Most people accept Christ's existence. Many people, including scientists, believe in the existence of a creator; and refer to Him as the Father. There is a struggle in believing the Holy Spirit otherwise known as the Spirit of Christ. He is the UNSEEN!
Your confidence in the Holy Spirit is a must and a critical element of your spiritual walk.
You cannot pick and chose what part of the Bible you will believe. Meaning, you cannot believe in the Father, and the Son, but not the Holy Spirit. It's all or none.
In the early church days (33 AD to 313 AD), the day of Pentecost (i.e., 50 days after Passover and Easter) was celebrated for the arrival of the Holy Spirt.
Acts 2:1-4
1 When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. 2 Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit
Side note, we celebrate the arrival of Christ with Chrismas. Why not celebrate the arrival of the post-resurrection Holy Spirit with Pentecost?
The Holy Spirit work in our lives is well documented in the Bible. Your confidence in Him, the UNSEEN, will unleash all the glory and blessings of heaven in your life, guaranteed!
Walk into a spiritual dimension that is not tangible but He manifests Himself in your life in a tangible way.

With nothing to lose and everything to gain, put your confidence, your certainty in what you cannot see, namely the Holy Spirit.

Who we are: we believe in the Holy Spirit. His reality is more than meets the eye. He is alive and at work in our world, and in our lives. His UNSEEN Person prompts, protects, and provides for those who are Christ’s. He is an almighty, invisible Spirit who powerfully brings the eternal purposes of Father and His Son to bear in our realty.
