Charting the New Year with the Perfect Resolution: Answering God's Call in Everyday Moments

Image
Happy Son-Day!!! Isaiah 43:19 "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." A perfect passage for starting the year  with faith that God is creating new opportunities. You will always find Good News here. For This Prestigious Occasion  Charting the New Year  with the Perfect Resolution:  Answering God's Call in Everyday Moments After church this morning, I stopped by Cub Foods to grab a few things. As I walked toward my car in the parking lot, I noticed a minivan backing out of its space. The driver misjudged the distance and  crunch! He hit the front bumper of a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon. The sound made me wince. Then, to my shock, the motorist began pulling away as if nothing happened, a hit-and-run in progress. I yelled, "Hey, you hit that car!" He kept moving. I yelled again, louder, loud enough for the whole parking lot to hear. Bystanders started looking over. The mot...

Good Son-day!!! Luke 2:10-11 "But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. A feast to remember —prime rib, crab legs, ham, Cornish hen, collard greens, mac & cheese (wet or dry), a red gelatin treat, strawberry-top...

A Cup of Cheer

Good Son-Day!!! Embracing the Sub-zero Weather You will always find the "Good News" here. Sub-Zero Grit! A Cup of Cheer Over the past few weeks, my messages have focused on rising above bad behavior, choosing grace over grudge, peace over conflict, and love over judgment. As we enter the 12 Days of Christmas, our focus shifts to something even more powerful: becoming a compelling witness for Christ. This week, I invite you to embrace the idea of being charismatic, not just in personality, but in spirit. A charismatic witness is someone whose genuine charm and personal magnetism naturally draws others toward Christ. It’s about living in such a way that your presence: Inspires others to seek God Encourages positive change in behavior Brightens someone’s day with kindness and love In the spirit of Christmas, remember this: an act of kindness isn’t just a good deed, it’s a daily expectation. Every day presents an opportunity to reflect God’s love through our actions, words, and a...

Protection From Being Unhinged

Good Son-Day!!! ❄❅❆❄❄  Celebrating 10 inches of Snow this week ❅❅❆❆ You will always find the Good News here Krispy Krazy Protection From Being Unhinged Imagine this: you’re standing at the end of the checkout line at the Maple Grove Cub Foods, waiting for Jo, who had gone back for a new carton of eggs. While you’re minding your own business, you see an older man with a cart accidentally ram into a woman—square in the backside—just a few feet from where you’re standing. The thud was undeniable. In my head I thought, “Oooo… that had to smart.” But the man? He just kept rolling—no pause, no “sorry,” no acknowledgment whatsoever. Well. That was all it took. The woman tore into him, using language that will definitely not be repeated on this blog. She lit him up for a good five minutes, creating what can only be described as a full-blown checkout-lane spectacle. And here’s the thing: I had empathy for her. Two little words—I’m sorry—would have cooled her from a rolling boil at 21...
