When Is It My Time To . . .
To finish the title, the ending phrase may be . . .
- To shine
- to be blessed
- to be healed, and on and on.
We often hear God is always on time and rightfully so. But sometimes it does not feel that way. Even in the Bible, a few of the men of God questioned Him.
The Sons of Korah lamented in a song, "My tears have been my food day and night, while people say to me all day long, “Where is your God?” (Psalm 42:3).
Is questioning God a sin?
The quick answer is no. Plenty in the Bible did it, including Abraham, Gideon, Jonah, Esther, Moses, Elijah, David, and Joseph. I do not recall any people I listed being struck by lightning. Even Thomas doubted the resurrection of Christ. Christ did not turn him into dust when they met face-to-face.
What took their doubt from possible faith failure to a march toward spiritual excellence was that their questioning came from a place of humility and belief. They are asking God for clarity of His will and not, I am at my faith's end and have no further hope in the King of Kings.
God will listen to your questions and He will give you an answer. So when is it your time? Wait for it, wait for it.
Lamentations 3:25-26
The Lord is good to those who wait for Him,
To the soul who seeks Him.
26 It is good that one should hope and wait quietly
For the salvation of the Lord.
Song of the Week - Hallelujah! Sing a New Song to GOD. Sing HIS praise in the assembly of godly people. Psalm 149:1.
