No Sugar Please
I am continuing the storyline on loving yourself. Previously, I touched briefly on taking time and rewarding yourself. Today, I tackle the physical part of taking care of yourself. And yes, the Bible goes there.
First, a public service message from your Creator and Curator
Psalm 139:14"I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."
Self-care Please
1 Corinthians 6:19-20"Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies."3 John 2"Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well."1 Timothy 4:8 -For while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.
As I become more seasoned, I find it more challenging to maintain the vessel God gave my spirit. This shell, like a vehicle, requires high-octane fuel and maintenance. Bad fuel and poor maintenance lead to a breakdown of the vessel. No revelation here.
A big-time bad fuel for me is refined sugar. I can ingest it, but it likes to take residence and stay for a spell. When I refrain from any form of sugar, my body responds with good health. So, I can eat sugar, but should I?????
1 Corinthians 10:23:Everything is permissible, but not everything is beneficial. Everything is permissible, but not everything builds up.
The scriptures here are telling us that some things can tear you up. My advice, please refrain from those things.
Please eat well and exercise. A healthy you is a blessing. A blessed you means you can bless others. The power of loving yourself!
Song of the Week - Hallelujah! Sing a New Song to GOD. Sing HIS praise in the assembly of godly people. Psalm 149:1.
